The Aircraft Maintenance Technician School is an Approved Training Organization (ATO) by the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and EASA Part 147 B1/B2 approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency. 

Established in 1967, Ethiopian Aircraft Maintenance Technicians School has specialized in aviation maintenance trainings for nearly 50 years; consistently offering the highest industry standard maintenance technicians training.

We offer Basic, Type and Recurrent training programs with a combination of classroom theory and hands-on practical trainings. Our competent instructors are dedicated to prepare trainees for entry- level employment as Aircraft Technicians and type rate on specific aircrafts.

Our goal is far beyond preparing our trainees for certification and licensing. It is to be the center of excellence that creates favorable experience, both for our students and employers alike.

Basic Aircraft Maintenance Training

The Aircraft Maintenance training school provides aircraft and component maintenance trainings at the ab-initio level leading them to be qualified maintenance technicians in their fields of specialty.

 Aircraft Component Maintenance Training

The aircraft maintenance training provides component maintenance training for almost all B737NG, B757, B767, B777, Q400 & MD11 avionics & mechanical Components.

It also provides level I, Level II and Level III engine and APU maintenance training on the following models.

The Aircraft Maintenance Training School provides continuation and other essential courses for aircraft maintenance professionals.

Qualifications for Trainee Aircraft Technician 

· A minimum total score of 300 in Ethiopian University Entrance Exam Result out of which a minimum of 60% in Mathematics, Physics and English Language each.       


A minimum of  College   Diploma  /10+3 / level III/   IV certificate    in  Electrical  /Mechanical /Aeronautical/ Industrial engineering or any related field of study from recognized TVET/ College/ University.

·       NB:  Age limit: 18-35 years old         

·       Height:  A minimum of  1.65 cm          

·       English Language Proficiency: Level III
